1. Get young children to read

2. Encourage children by reading storybooks

   1. Librarians take turns to read/tell stories to the children

   2. Thyagaraju, President of the Gnana Kendram, sometimes uses skype to connect to the Gnana Kendram to read/tell stories. There is a 40” TV and a 80” projector to project the skype on to big screen so the children can see Thyagaraju on a big screen rather than on a laptop. Incidentally, all volunteers can engage the children via skype on the subject of their interest.

3. Train the children to become computer literates

4. Train the children to browse the internet and show them some useful sites

5. Provide the necessary books to all to read. If any book is not available in the Gnana Kendram one can list that book in the “Wanted List Register”. We try to procure the book within a short time.
